Empower Sport: Empowering Youth Work

Through Inclusion

The project arises from the need to define and recognize the role of youth workers in the sports field for social inclusion, an area lacking a common definition at both national and EU levels.

To define and recognise the role of the sport youth worker for inclusion in the EU countries collecting local and national existing frameworks but also gathering ideas, experiences and tools from the YWs experiences. A competence framework and a validation system will be developed to validate such a profile at the EU level recognising the set of competences and importance such a role has.

To share best practices among SYWI and to develop a practical toolkit with examples and shared methods for the sport community in the field of social inclusion in sport for young people by using sport as a tool of bringing people together and promote wellbeing and inclusion

To promote the value of social inclusion among young people, stakeholders by using sport as an aggregative form
